Context

Expert Services is Styldod’s human-assisted media production line — virtual staging, image enhancement, floor plans, day-to-dusk, object removal, video editing, and 3D workflows. The engineering challenge isn’t a single app; it’s the system that connects customers, partners, and an internal production team into one dependable pipeline.

Approach

The product spans several services, each with a clear job:

  • Storefront: a marketing and ordering site (Next.js + Webflow CMS) with FastSpring and Stripe checkout, coupons, and backend-driven file uploads.
  • Core backend: Node.js/Express with MongoDB and Firebase auth, handling users, orders, payments, subscriptions, reviews, and rework, integrated with CRM, email, and ops tools (Stripe, PayPal, HubSpot, and more).
  • Partner API: a key-authenticated service exposing order workflows — order creation, presigned S3 uploads, status APIs, and webhook delivery — handing work to processing workers via SQS.
  • Delivery & QC: an internal back-office for production stages, team assignment, turnaround tracking, quality review, and render review (including 3D/Unity workflows).

Outcome

A complete order-to-delivery pipeline that turns expert media work into a trackable, dependable service — coordinating customers, partner integrations, and an internal production team end to end.
